WHAT IS SSP?
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a 2-month coaching and listening program to regulate your nervous system, to reduce stress, and to enhance resilience and social engagement. It is designed and created by world-renown researcher and author of the Polyvagal theory, Stephen Porges.
SSP will help you create lasting changes to your Autonomic Nervous System through neuroplastic changes.
You will receive the benefits of one-on-one coaching and access to 3 listening pathways. Listening to specially designed filtered music engages your middle ear muscles and stimulates your vagal nerve and the neural pathways associated with regulating behavioral state and social engagement.
The SSP program will help you to better control your emotional and physiological states.

GETTING TO SAFETY, WITH SOUND
Here's what it looks like as you Journey through SSP
Once you sign up, you will receive a short video about the Autonomic Nervous System and Polyvagal Theory (don’t worry, it’s in easy-to-understand language and very applicable)
We start with 2-hours of one-on-one coaching where you learn to identify your own body’s cues of safety, danger and threat. You will do informative exercises to help you understand your own nervous system and how it speaks through your body.
I will then be alongside with you (through teleconferencing) as you listen to SSP Connect.
This program is about listening to your body and honouring your body’s responses.
During the next phase of listening, we continue to monitor your nervous system as you listen to SSP Core. SSP Core is set up as 10 30-min listening sessions (total 5 hrs). For many of those sessions, I will be alongside with you as you listen, and some of those sessions you will be listening independently. During this time, there will be 6 hours of one-on-one coaching to help you integrate the neurological changes in your life. The program is tailored to meet you where you are.
I will support you every step of the way.
Once we have completed SSP Core, you will have access to the next set of filtered music, called SSP Balance which you can listen to at your own pace and timing.
Is it online or in person?
All sessions are done online through Zoom confidential video conferencing.
Do I need to buy expensive equipment?
No. Not at all. All you need is an over-the-ears headphone. You probably have a set lying around from 10 years ago. Use that. If your headphones are noice-canceling, you will need to be able to turn OFF that feature during SSP listening. No earbuds.
What do I need?
You will need to download the Unyte-ils app which is FREE.
What if I take longer than 2 months?
Less is more. We do not rush this program. If it takes more than 10 sessions to do 5 hours of listening to the Core SSP program, then we take the time your nervous system needs. Once the Core session is complete, you will have a maximum of 2 months of access to listen to Balance. You can listen to Balance on your own, as often or infrequent as you need.
I have a busy schedule. Can you work with my schedule?
Absolutely. Within reason of course. No late night sessions. If you’re in a different time zone or are concerned about irregular hours, please contact Simone to discuss.
Can I do this later?
I will be offering this program every 3 months. You can choose to purchase now at the Early Bird price and delay your start date.
