Reiki means universal life force energy. Reiki
is a Japanese method of energy healing where Reiki energy is transmitted
through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. The practitioner acts
as an observer, a channel for this energy to move through – yet it is the
recipient who draws in and directs the energy needed for his or her own
healing. Except in a few positions, the practitioner does not actually
touch the client, but works with the energy field by placing his or her
hands above the recipient.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive and
non-manipulative healing modality where all aspects of the person are
treated. It can complement and does not interfere with other healing
methods, either holistic or conventional medicine.
It is a common experience during a Reiki
treatment to enter a meditative state, experiencing deep relaxation and
peace. Reiki is a simple process that can bring about tremendous
healing.
